These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Saint Lucia Price Tracker website at slupricetracker.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated and published by Solèy Technologies Ltd. (“Solèy Technologies”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company based in Saint Lucia. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

The Site is an independent, public-interest project. It is not a shop and does not sell any goods or services.

2. What the Site is — and what it is not

The Site publishes retail prices and related product facts that have been captured from publicly accessible store pages and organized into neutral categories. The information is provided for general information, price transparency, and research.

  • It is not official government statistics, an official price index, or a cost-of-living measure.
  • It is not real-time pricing. Each price reflects the capture date shown with it and may be out of date or differ from the current in-store or online price.
  • We are independent. We do not claim any affiliation with, endorsement by, sponsorship by, or partnership with any retailer, brand, manufacturer, or government body. Store, brand, and product names are used only to identify the items to which a captured price relates, and remain the property of their respective owners.
  • Coverage reflects only what has been captured. We do not claim full, daily, or nationwide coverage of any retailer or of the Saint Lucia market.

3. Consumer notice (please read before relying on a price)

Prices shown on the Site are historical observations, not offers for sale and not a representation by any retailer of a current selling price. Before making any purchasing decision, always verify the current price directly with the retailer. We make no representation that any price shown is the price at which an item is currently, or was ordinarily, sold.

Nothing on the Site is intended to mislead consumers as to the price, nature, quality, or availability of any product. If you believe a price or product fact is inaccurate, please tell us (see Corrections and takedown) and we will review it.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Site and its open price data for personal, educational, journalistic, and research purposes. You agree that you will not:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically download the Site, its data files, or any substantial part of the compilation, whether manually or by automated means, including bulk or repeated requests to the data endpoints;
  • Use automated tools or scripts to access the Site without our prior written permission, except for compliant indexing by mainstream search engines that respect our robots directives and edge controls;
  • Use automated or bulk extraction of the Site's data to build, train, populate, or operate a competing or substantially similar website, product, service, dataset, or database, or any derivative compilation of all or a substantial part of the Site's data;
  • Place automated load on the Site in a way that impairs it for others, or circumvent any technical or access limits;
  • Misrepresent the data as official, real-time, current, or retailer-approved pricing;
  • Use the Site, or the data, in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or misleading, including for misleading price comparisons;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Site or its hosting; or
  • Remove or obscure any notice of source, capture date, or attribution.

5. Intellectual property

Individual facts — such as a product’s name, a price, and the date it was observed — are factual information and are published as open data that you are free to reuse, ideally with attribution to the Site and a note of the capture date.

The compilation, arrangement, categorization, design, text, code, and look and feel of the Site are © Solèy Technologies Ltd. and are protected by applicable law. The Site’s own neutral category labels do not copy any single retailer’s category scheme. Third-party trademarks, brand names, and product names belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

We reserve all rights in the compilation and database (its selection, structure, and arrangement) to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are welcome to reuse individual facts as described above, but systematic extraction or re-use of all or a substantial part of the compilation, or repeated extraction of insubstantial parts that together amount to a substantial part, is not permitted without our prior written permission.

6. Product visuals

Products are shown using neutral monogram tiles (a coloured letter generated from the product name) for identification. These are not retailer logos and not product photography, and the Site does not hotlink or republish retailers’ product images.

7. Third-party sites and data sources

The Site may reference or link to third-party websites and data sources (for example, official energy-price publications and world oil-price data used on the Energy page). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites, and a link does not imply endorsement. See the About & Methodology page for how external data is used.

8. Corrections and takedown

We want the Site to be accurate and to respect the rights of others. If you are a retailer, rights holder, or member of the public and you wish to report an inaccurate price or product fact, raise an intellectual-property or other concern, or request removal of specific content, contact hello@soleytechnologies.com. Please identify the specific item(s) and the issue. We aim to acknowledge and review genuine requests promptly.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all information on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Saint Lucia, Solèy Technologies Ltd. will not be liable for any loss or damage — including any decision made, or action taken or not taken, in reliance on a price or other information published on the Site, or arising from errors, omissions, staleness of data, or unavailability of the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Saint Lucia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saint Lucia.
