Privacy Notice
Last updated: 5 August 2026 · Effective: 5 August 2026
This Privacy Notice explains how the Saint Lucia Price Tracker (the “Site”) handles information when you visit. The Site is operated by Solèy Technologies Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”). We have designed the Site to collect as little personal information as possible.
The short version
- No user accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
- We display a limited number of advertisements through Google AdSense to help cover the Site’s running costs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for our own marketing.
- Your theme choice and your “My Basket” list are stored on your own device, not on our servers.
- Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver and protect the Site.
Information we collect
We do not ask you for personal data and we do not operate accounts, forms, comments, or server-side profiles. The Site is a static website: the pages and data files are served to your browser, and the interactive features run entirely in your browser.
If you choose to email us, we will receive your email address and whatever you put in your message, and we will use it only to handle your enquiry.
Information processed automatically (hosting & security)
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with essentially all websites, when your browser requests a page our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically processes limited technical data, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser type ("user agent") in server logs. This processing is necessary to deliver the Site, keep it available, and protect it against abuse and attacks. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors or to track you across other websites.
Storage on your device
The Site uses your browser’s localStorage (not cookies) to remember two
things, only on the device you are using:
- Theme preference: whether you chose light or dark mode.
- My Basket: if you use this feature, your basket name, the products you saved, and their snapshot prices.
This information stays in your browser and is never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can export your basket to a JSON file, import it on another device, or clear it at any time by removing site data in your browser settings. Note that if you use the “share basket” link feature, the contents of your basket are encoded into the link you generate, so only share that link with people you intend to share the basket with.
Cookies
The Site sets no cookies of its own for theme preference or baskets
(those use localStorage). Our hosting/security provider may, where strictly
necessary, use security mechanisms to protect the Site; these are not used for tracking
or marketing.
When advertisements are shown, Google AdSense and related Google advertising services may set or read cookies and similar technologies on your device to serve ads, measure performance, and (where applicable) personalize ads. You can manage ad personalization through Google’s Ads Settings and your browser settings. Where required by law (for example for visitors in the EEA or UK), Google may show a consent message before personalized ads are used.
Third-party services
We keep third-party services to a minimum. The Site relies on:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, and security. Cloudflare processes technical connection data as described above. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Google AdSense: advertising that helps cover hosting, domain, and maintenance costs for this public-interest Site. Google may process technical data (such as IP address and cookie identifiers) and show ads on the Site. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We do not embed social-media trackers, separate third-party analytics products, or third-party font services. Site fonts are served from the same domain as the rest of the Site. Advertising does not influence which products or prices we publish, how categories are organized, or ranking on the Site.
How we use information
We use the limited technical data from hosting only to operate, secure, and maintain the Site as a public-interest information service. We do not use that hosting data for our own marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making about you.
Advertising is handled by Google as described above. We do not sell personal data. Ad revenue is intended to help cover the Site’s running costs (see How this Site is funded).
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We may disclose information only where we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Site, our users, or the public.
International transfers
Our hosting provider operates servers outside Saint Lucia. This means the limited technical data described above may be processed in other countries. We rely on an established provider that offers recognized contractual and technical safeguards for such processing.
Data retention
We do not maintain a database of visitor personal data. Hosting/security logs are retained by our provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes. Email correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
Children’s privacy
The Site is a general-audience information service and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Accessing, correcting, or deleting information
Because the Site keeps personal information to a minimum, in most cases we hold nothing that identifies you. If you have contacted us, or believe we hold information about you, you may ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold and how it is used;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
- delete information we hold about you, where appropriate.
We do not carry out marketing and we do not sell information. To make a request, email hello@soleytechnologies.com and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a static information website to protect the limited data involved, including HTTPS encryption in transit and a restrictive content-security configuration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep our data footprint deliberately small.
Changes to this Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
